QR code menus for takeaway counters
A takeaway counter has no tables to number and no waiter to ask. What it has is a queue, and a name shouted over it when the food is ready. A menu built around tables gets all of that wrong.

There are no tables, so orders travel by name
The counter QR asks for the customer's name instead of a table number, because a name is how a parcel actually gets handed over. The order arrives on your screen already labelled with the thing you are going to call out.
The queue is the whole business
Somebody deciding at the counter is somebody blocking it. A menu they can open while standing in line — or before they arrive — is a queue that moves.
What is ready changes through the day
Fresh at eleven, gone by two, different by evening. One tap marks an item out of stock and it greys out on every phone, so nobody asks for what finished an hour ago.
People order from outside the shop
The same link behind your QR works anywhere. Put it in your Google listing, your Instagram bio, or a WhatsApp reply, and an order can be decided before anybody leaves the house.
Setting it up
- One counter QR, printed large enough to read from the queue.
- Ask for a name; that is the label your food travels under.
- Decide whether orders need your approval before they reach the kitchen — at a counter, usually yes.
Most places are running within half an hour. The free trial has everything switched on, so you can put it through one real service before deciding anything.

What it costs
Every plan carries the whole menu — unlimited dishes, photographs, Gujarati and Hindi. What changes higher up is what diners can do: call a waiter, see a dish in 3D and AR, order from the table. Every restaurant starts on a free trial with everything switched on, so you can see the difference before you choose.
Prices are per restaurant, per month. There is no charge per order and no commission on what you sell.
Questions restaurant owners ask
We have no tables at all. Does this still work?
Yes, and it is built for it. The counter QR does not use table numbers — it asks the customer for a name, and the order reaches your screen under that name.
Can we stop an order reaching the kitchen until we have seen it?
Yes. Orders can be set to wait for approval, so nothing gets cooked until somebody at the counter has said yes. At a takeaway counter that is usually the right setting.
Can the same menu be shared on WhatsApp?
It is one link — the QR code just encodes it. Send it, post it, put it in your Google listing. Anywhere somebody might be deciding what to eat.
Do my customers need to download an app?
No. The menu opens in whatever browser is already on their phone. They point the camera at the QR code on the table, the menu loads, and that is the whole thing — nothing to install, nothing to sign in to.
Can the menu be in Gujarati?
Yes. Every dish can carry a Gujarati and a Hindi name, description and price alongside the English one, and diners read whichever they choose. You fill in what you want translated; anything left blank falls back to English.
What happens when I change a price?
It changes on every table at once. There is no reprinting and no sticker over the old price — you edit the item in your dashboard and the next diner to scan sees the new one.
